Reorganization

In Uncategorized on May 31, 2008 at 6:43 am

After about six months and all the different posts, it is time for a few changes.  In the near future I will better sort the pieces so a newcomer can jump right in, and so fans who come by often can quickly find their favorite works.  Also, look for a few more pieces to land on these pages, as well as an overall change to the theme.

Thanks for the support,

Lady of My Dreams

Lady of My Dreams
by Jonas Hyde

Lady of my dreams,
Of frail frame and soul that glistens and gleams,
How I so long for thee,
In a way that is not as it seems,
For I need thee to live and breath.

Raven’s hair,
And skin so fair,
How I so long for thee,
To be with you is my single prayer,
For I need thee to live and breath.

Eyes of sea and sky,
Shimmering betwixt the two so grand,
How I so long for thee,
I love you from the distance here I stand,
For I need thee to live and breath.

Touch my soul, touch my heart,
And from my gaze you shalln’t depart
How I so long for thee,
Know I loved you from the start,
For I need thee to live and breath.

So take my hand and come to me,
As I pray and as I plea,
How I so long for thee,
I offer you my love on bended knee,
Lady of my dreams, I need thee to live and breath.

Time

So the new piece mentioned HERE is taking longer than anticipated to finish.  That being said, the wait seems to be well worth it as the construct of the piece is very engaging.  I believe all of you will enjoy it.  I’ll keep you posted…

The Sickness

In Poetry on May 4, 2008 at 10:05 pm

The Sickness
by Jonas Hyde

As I spoke to you today,
I felt the sickness deep inside,
aching,
feverish,
plagued by love lost.

I can feel your curse,
you the fifth harbinger,
I cower to your tempest,
making me reach for the pill,
to take the pain of you away.

I walk these streets,
and am reminded of you,
I who is damned in the purgatory of this isle,
my terminal soul,
dying from the sickness of you.
