Journal D:8
In Writing Journal on September 5, 2009 at 6:17 pmNot the progress I wanted. I found little time to finish fleshing out the story for the new Helling piece. I need solitude…
Journal D:6
In Writing Journal on September 3, 2009 at 6:51 pmNothing really accomplished today. I’m sure of late these posts have been boring. Any thoughts on some of the works on this site?
Journal D:5
In Writing Journal on September 2, 2009 at 7:02 pmBusy day and a long drive. However, I did work out many of the plot elements for the new Helling piece. Just a couple more things to work out. I look forward to its release.
Journal D:4
In Writing Journal on September 1, 2009 at 3:34 pmTired today. Very much so. I did manage to flesh out most of the next piece I mentioned. Now I just need to define the details. From there, I will get into the Helling mindset and start the process. I am excited about where this one is going.
Journal D:3
In Writing Journal on August 31, 2009 at 9:57 amSo I am putting together the pages for the Yale and Beatrice reviews, and decided I would like to add one more piece. I am currently working on a new piece based off Night Mare that will fit into the Alistair Helling series. Whether or not it fits in length or time remains to be seen, but that is coming next.
Upon completion of that, it looks like Targy vol2, for those interested in the children’s series.
So currently that is the plan. Thoughts?
Day 2
In Writing Journal on August 30, 2009 at 3:31 amAnother early morning. I did finish the Bard’s Sword section 4/5 yesterday, but have not yet posted it. Look for it soon. Fatigue seems to come earlier and earlier, especially when coupled with these early hours.
Journal: Day 1
In Writing Journal on August 29, 2009 at 8:22 amMany writers, myself included, at least ‘try’ to write every day. Having kept a handwritten journal in the past, I am now attempting to migrate over to an online version. Some days I may only get in a few words… others hopefully something more substantial. Either way, it is an expirement worth trying. As always, all comments are welcome.
New project in the works for Jonas Hyde
In Other on October 6, 2008 at 8:22 pmOn the heels of the successful poem Adieu – (The final words of Gilles de Rais) Jonas Hyde is putting together a new poetry anthology titled Last Words. The works in Last Words will follow a similar premise to Adieu, in the idea they will be from the point of view of notable, though obscure, people throughout history.
The original piece, Adieu, is based on the final night in the life of GdR. Gilles de Rais (September 10, 1404—October 26, 1440) was a French noble, soldier, and one time brother-in-arms of Joan of Arc, but is perhaps best known as a prolific serial killer who in his final nights sought forgiveness for his actions.
Other pieces in the anthology will be from the point of view of great thinkers, religious leaders, mathematicians, and more.
Jonas Hyde, the acclaimed poet, author, and wordsmith is excited to capture the essence of each of the final nights using his classical form of emotional intense and artistically vivid poetry. For more information on Jonas Hyde, or to review some of his other prominent works such as Lament for Lady Beth, Seraph’s Song: The Epic Fable of Sister Sera, Daughter’s Dream, Insula de Verum, and more, please visit www.jonashyde.com

one everyday,

Google, Epic Fables, and Seraph’s Song
In Other on April 3, 2008 at 9:32 amJust a quick update for those of you keeping track. Seraph’s Song: The Epic Fable of Sister Sera is currently ranked #3 on Helium under the Poetry: Fables topic. You can show your support by viewing the work here.
Also, on Google, if you search by the term: epic fable, Sister Sera is among the chart toppers.
Helium is a large site, and throughout the history of poetry, there have been many great works that could be considered epic fables, so both events are decent internet accomplishments.
Thanks for any and all support -

Random Thought of My Day
In Random Thought on February 2, 2008 at 3:55 pmThe end is nigh…
Not in some apocolyptic way, nor in some life/death way. But simply, in just a way… if that makes any sense.
Ahhh, the thoughts of a poet. How many of you get lost in your own thoughts? I surely do…

Well, there’s no comfort like that
And when somebody needs you
Well, there’s no drug like that
